So your misogyny and abnormal intelligence can't compute the fact that Kamala Harris's balls are bigger than Bret's and yours. Or is it the implication that the vernacular of having big balls not apply to females? I mean having the balls to reply may or may not affirm your gender? That's what?
Clearly the humor of my post was lost on you.

He has a lot of sway among a certain demographic of young men. He has never been particularly bright, but he used to be a lot less partisan than he is now.

Seems like he turned during COVID. He rarely questions people on his show, usually just goes along with whatever they’re saying. You can see how this tactic would lead him astray during COVID if he’s having fringe loonies on.
Rogan is definitely a leading voice in the manosphere. And Covid certainly has pushed him a bit right / more conspiracy oriented (which he himself jokes about in his recent standup).

That said, while I wish he was a bit more selective in his guests and definitely lets wild nonsense run loose on his show, I never have had and still do not have the impression he himself is acting in bad faith. Given that, I’m not on board for the level of vitriol that can be directed at him at times. There are so many bad faith actors out there - he is not one of them (though some of them use him).

That said, I used to listen to the pod a lot more. Now I mainly listen for MMA-related items.

But I’d listen if Kamala was on and so would many other dudes who have relatively little exposure to her. Is it the most efficient allocation of time. Perhaps not. But it *may* come down to absurdly thin margins across a couple of states.

An aside: you asked me to explain AIG's role in the financial crisis. I sent you a DM. Did you see it? You didn't acknowledge it.

Joe doesn’t act in bad faith? I can share multiple clips like this.

He’s a fucking moron.
And he’s weaponized that disinformation. He gets so many crackpot grifters on his show now and lets them just spew vomit without any fact-checking.

It’s brain-rot of the highest order.

Here’s another brilliant Joe exchange, quoted:

Joe

"I'm an idiot. I always say, don't listen to me. I'm a comedian. If you listen to me it's your own fault. . . But it's crazy right now. Joe Biden literally rooted against American during the great recession. We have a president who said that he hoped that the real estate market in America would tank so that he could buy cheap property to make himself rich. It's literally treason."

Jamie

"That was actually Trump. Here's a video of him saying that."

Joe

"No I think it was Joe... pull that up. Hmm... okay. Yeah well he's a real estate guy though. That's how he makes money.

In a vacuum, that could be read as intentionally subversive (getting a listener to nod along yeah that awful when he says a Dem did it and then gee whiz Trump did it each time).

I have been re-watching Newsradio. It is amusing how much his character was not acting.
Reminds me of a friend who has had and is having a highly successfully acting career. In the roles he’s done most successfully, he’s himself. He’s not acting.

Now, I think actors who appear natural on stage, film, or screen have skills - if they didn’t, they wouldn’t be natural.

Then, we have actors such as Denzel Washington, Meryl Streep, Robert DeNiro, or Al Pacino who can play many roles.

Yes! Sorry. Been getting crushed at work. I read it a couple of days after you sent it. Super helpful so I appreciate it.

I meant to follow-up with a thank you and another query or two but totally lost the script!

I’ve seen this pod. And a lot of these clips. He’s definitely gone a bit right. This was a particularly hilarious misstep. Because he had a point he wanted to be true so bad….he just had no response.

I’ve watched a fair bit of Rogan. My suspicion is if you watched a lot of him (the guy does daily multi-hour podcasts) you’d have the same takeaway as me.
