I was talking about high water bridges more than the geography. Poor people are always secondary to the Asheville and Boones when it comes media coverage and tobacco farmers know more about their mountains than geography majors like Michael Jordan.

I was commenting on the idea that the New River flows north because it’s an “old” river.

That idea is wrong.
