After UNC loses a game it should have won to a team it should beat 70-80% of the time, it's time for the off-season and all the reflection and anticipation that it entails.

So, who's coming and who's going? Do Powell and Jackson go pro? Does Washington or Cadeau hit the portal? It could be a confusing and confounding interim over the next few months. Post here what you think will happen in this off-season of discontent.

Wash - transfer
Drake - stays
Ian - pro (probably the wrong decision)
Either Seth or EC leaves
Lubin stays
High returns
Cade - HD’s call

My hopes:

Wash - portal
Ian - portal
Seth - portal
Elliott - portal
Cade - portal
Lubin - stays
Drake - stays

we need an almost complete reset

EC needs to be our starting PG next year
Ian has "a shot" at the starting SG We will bring in another one from the portal in addition to 6-4 Derek Dixon-who might start-and Dossier-who won't start.
Trimble may stay-he would ideally be a '6th man"
Jalen can stay if wants to be 3rd string.
Powell will stay unless he gets drafted on potential
Lubin should stay-second string
We will put a lot into a starting Center and shooting guard from th e portal
Lots of decisons will be made on our and other teams player payroll allocation. We may want to see if Ian can grow into his potential-Pitino may offer him "star" money-we likely won't offer him huge $-because of his Freshmen like year
We hope and pray Caleb Wilson will be a starting 4

Just a note but you should make this UNC sports unless you want Duke, tech and State opinions in here

Which we are happy to give 😂
I actually appreciate the reminder. A lot of folks seem to miss the UNC Sports prefix vs sports or off-topic. But I’ve got it changed. Thx.

Come on folks! It’s right there!

Ian-NBA
The Drake-returns
VAL-returns
JWash-transfers
EC-transfers (want him to stay, though)
Seth-Marquette
Cade-transfers back to a mid major
Jackson appeared to have some really bad body language on the bench during yesterday's game. As for wanting the return of Powell & Cadeau:

My very uniformed opinion:

1. Keep Cadeau; we're not likely to find a better point guard
2. Keep Trimble; he's a good, athletic role player like Glove Jr. for Golden State
3. If Lubin is still eligible (which seems to be the case from reading ya'll's posts), keep him. He's a serviceable "big" though he lacks size
4. Get a defensive big out of the portal who will block shots and just wreck people. I know that's not what UNC does but maybe it's time.
5. Get an offensive big out of the portal with that NIL money we've apparently had all along but want to spend on football.
6. Tell Cade to take a hike and free up a roster spot. Very disappointing. I thought he'd give us at least 8-10 points a game instead of just being some guy that comes in when others are needing to take a break.
7. Tell Washington to take a hike. You can see the ability but it just never really cements. And likely never will.
8. Should Ian and Drake go pro, then get at least one decent wing/SG out of the portal. If Cadeau and Trimble still there, should be good enough as long as have a post presence (unlike this season).

I'm on record that we should throw out the doormat for Jay Wright and give him a GM to deal with the NIL/transfer crap that obviously forced him out from Nova. But I know that won't happen. So, Hubert has one more year to prove himself. He's been hit and miss in the portal.

Honestly, I hope everyone with eligibility returns. I am a fan of continuity and think we have guys who can me make leaps. I think having guys play together for multiple seasons is a good thing.

I hope that in the portal we can land an All-ACC-caliber center who is at least 6’10 and is a quality rim protector. I also hope High returns.

I think a good starting lineup would be:
PG - Cadeau
SG - Jackson
SF - Powell
PF - Wilson
C - that unknown big from the portal I mentioned above

Trimble and Lubin are our 6th and 7th men. Have Washington and at least one of Denis and Dixon in the rotation. Then you have High, Brown, and Tyson when needed.

I think that could be a really good team.
