He’s just here to do that really weird thing he does every so often where he feigns incredulity that all of the people on this board hate Donald Trump’s policy and then likes to hit everyone with the “we can’t have this conversation” BS even when they provide good faith responses and context to their beliefs.

The problem is that I have an actual, logical, reasonable well-stated retort to the article he posted and in response he gives, “sorry for your loss.” I don’t know or care if it is trolling, but it isn’t an intelligent or thoughtful response. At best it is just stupid.

Right! Like, it’s no secret! And it’s totally fine- just own it, is all I’m saying. Own that you like policies that are the complete antithesis of every conservative value and principle you’ve claimed to had, and just own that getting to deport illegal immigrants, getting to end DEI initiatives, and getting to prevent transgender people from existing, is well worth it to you even though the side effect is that it also comes with a federal agency having wanton immunity to extrajudicially execute American citizens.
This isn’t hard, calla! Just say that you are fine with the juice and that it is worth the squeeze. I would disagree like hell with you, and I would find it reprehensible, but I would at least be able to respect the honesty. There is no honor in hypocrisy and cowardice.

The thing is it shouldn't even matter what policies Trump has when he incited an attempted insurrection, pardoned everyone who was involved, has ICE agents killing people, is trying to take over other countries, is a convicted felon who is a fraud and a grifter, is a racist and bigot, admitted to sexually assaulting women, is most likely a rapist and pedophile, and is a narcissistic sociopath. The only reason anyone would still support him because of his "policies" is because they don't want to admit none of those things about Trump is more important than getting the fascist country they want for only straight white "Christian" nationalists.

Bit extreme claiming we have a secret police routinely and randomly executing innocent protesters in the street. As earlier stated, that’s worse than Iran.
The shooting that occurred had a bit more nuance than an execution by a Gestapo member:
The women weren’t “peacefully” exercising their 1st Amendment rights. They were interfering and impeding law enforcement doing their job.
The ICE agent was legally justified in using lethal force since she hit the accelerator with the agent in front of her vehicle - striking the agent
Her partner encouraged her to hit the accelerator “drive baby drive” and later expressed regret for getting her involved in the protest.
The women were hopelessly naive in the danger their actions were placing them in - “you used real bullets?”
Yet, I do think the agents could have shown more restraint and I wish they wouldn’t have fired that third shot from the side. These were experienced agents but I agree that the new ICE recruits should receive the full, standard training instead of the reduced 47 day training.

Hypocrisy is a core tenet of maga. There is power in spouting the nonsensical and saying “I do not need rhetoric to support me because my guns mean I dominate you. I will dish you hypocrisy until you die from exasperation.”

All of this is a lie. ICE has no legal authority to just randomly stop people. Their only authority is to capture known illegal immigrants. They didn't have the legal authority to try to get her out of her car. The agent wasn't in front of her vehicle. He was at the driver side corner and she turned a hard right away from him. All of the shots came from the side of the vehicle.

This notion that merit based immigration or that assimilation is the way of American immigration is anathema to the history of America. The poem on the Statue of Liberty says, in part:
"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The Irish and Italian immigrants who came in the 19th century were not subjected to this ridiculous notion of merit or assimilation. So African Americans should forget their culture to assimilate? Bullshit. That's racist bullshit and if you don't realize that then you are a racist or at least support racists.
If you support Trump's policies, but not the man, this is what you support: racist immigration policies that include poorly trained agents having the right to detain people based on the color of their skin; poorly trained agents having the authority to break into homes without a warrant; masked federal agents not having to identify themselves; tariffs that harm average Americans; praising adversaries like Russia to the detriment of NATO; using Nazi style propaganda; bailing out foreign countries that kiss Trump's ass like Argentina; bailing out farmers after hurting them with tariffs; abandoning science - all of this and more.
Stop saying you support Trump's policies and trying to separate them from Trump. You are supporting anti-American principles when you support Trump. Period.

Comparing Trump to Caligula and late stage Tiberius. I realize he was trying to emphasize that Trump often acts rudely and impulsively but that’s a bit much.
Stating that Trump is not addressing the affordability issue. Fighting inflation is hard. He’s brought down energy costs and interest rates are falling. The deficit is much lower due to the substantial sums being raised by tariffs. He’s recently floated new proposals of capping credit card interest rates for one year, limiting residential home purchases by private equity and allowing penalty free usage of 401K funds for first home purchases.

He knows it’s a lie. He is brainwashed beyond comprehension but he isn’t actually stupid enough to believe what he typed, knowing that there is video evidence from several different angles that prove the exact opposite.
The problem with people like ram and calla is that they want their cake and want to eat it too. They want to be able to hold views that are morally repugnant (i.e., that there is justification for extrajudicial executions) but also want the people whom they claim to hate (liberals/the left) to respect them and validate them. The problem is, most of the rest of the country – people of all ideological persuasions- are able to see them for exactly what they are: hypocrites and cowards without principle. And it drives them nuts, because they know those people are right about them.

None of that is true. Inflation is UP. The tariffs have added $200B in revenue to a deficit that is 1.7T, and the money has already been spent largely on ICE. Tax receipts will be lower. Electricity costs are higher, not lower.
Capping credit rates is lunacy. One would think you'd know that, and maybe you are trolling, but it's an incredibly bad idea. He is actually not in favor of penalty free usage of 401Ks, and that does nothing to create affordability; it just means you have to mortgage your retirement in addition to your near future.
