I think the decision to change head coaches should be based on what we've seen... and how confident we are that we can get someone significantly better.

Being that the coach in question is Hubert Davis, if we think he can become who we want in the next 2 years, the answer is unequivocally "yes".
This was tough to me because I've hired and fired a lot of leaders... how do I think we would know by now, but it seems to me that Weill still on the roller coaster.. you've hit that part where the peaks and valleys are normalizing to the middle.

It is just Basketball but this is also a major brand...and what was built is not always promised.

I would be thrilled if he could turn it around. It's also extremely concerning to me that his best season was his first season.

Can you expand on this?

I mean, I think you're correct, but just saying that alone doesn't really explain much.
oh I don't know what the specific issue was in that room but that was not a group of happy or driven young men who enjoyed playing basketball together and thrive in their roles... that's why they got the least out of the talent.

The anti Hubert crowd continue to ignore my concern about maga leadership firing an AA coach with Hubert's pedigree and resume. Is that because you don't think it's an issue or too tough a subject?
I don’t think that Lee Roberts and his NASCAR AD and the Art Pope BOT and BOG will give one shit about firing Hubert. And, they’ll hire a subpar coach.

Mingo is expected to pick heels on national TV today. Also a buzz on IC his brother Kayden will follow. He is 6-3 guard who started as freshman at PSU. averaged 14 pts but shooting 23 percent from 3. 74 FT percent suggests good shooter though. Overall 45 from floor. Be interesting what guards leave beside trimble

The country and democracy as we know it in this country is on the verge of disaster.
If anybody thinks Project 2025 doesn’t have “bring those liberal colleges and universities to their knees” as part of the agenda is not being honest with themselves.

Think about it. If Roy gosh darn Williams advocates for keeping the Dean Dome and verbalizes what DES himself said on his deathbed about keeping the hoops on campus, and yet we still have talks going on behind the scenes to ignore Roy, AND Dean… and the possibility of getting shed of the Smith Center is a viable reality… then it’s quite obvious there are some seriously evil and vile people behind it all.

How many of those 24 on the BOG are Republicans? How many are Maga? How many attended NCState? How many stand to get money from the construction of a new arena? How many are racist m-fers who would love the opportunity to axe Hubert without any care at all about his win/loss record?
The BOG chair is Wendy Floyd Murphy and a proud member of the Wendell Murphy hog farm empire in Wallace,NC

Hope he can get healthy, cause he’s slippery and can get to the rim.

Kayden shot it much better in high school/aau for what it’s worth

I would assume Evans and Denis are definitely gone as well. Wouldn’t be suprised to lose 1 of Powell or Bogavac.

Do you consider Calipari to have been fired? Because that was an example of him getting out before being forced out.

Tubby Smith was fired after winning 26 games a year.
Tubby's a pretty good answer. Never missed the tourney. Got the axe as soon as they dipped below 20 wins.

Uconn waited for the second bad season of Kevin Ollie before swinging the axe. BTW, that is more a similar run than I'd care to accept.

Tubby won 22 each of his last two years.
