First of all, I didn't ask for anyone to be banned.

Second, I will admit that calling Trumpers names is childish. Even though they've done PLENTY to earn the vitriol.
But the word "retard" and its derivatives are widely considered a slur and are deeply offensive, particularly to people with intellectual disabilities, and while I'm sure that Chimps would also be deeply offended, it's not quite the same. But I'm sure you know this.
Calling someone a chimpanzee or derivative is widely considered a slur. Would you call a black coworker a chimp? Would you call a family member with intellectual disabilities a chimp? I'm not sure why you think you can criticize someone for making comments while making similar comments without being a hypocrite.

Lmaoooooo you’re reaching.

I really don't think so. I think most folks would agree that calling someone a chimpanzee is a slur. Why would you think it would be okay to call someone a chimpanzee or derivative but not think it's okay to call someone a retard or derivative?

The cruelty in unbelievable-and that is the point.

ICE didn't raid LA elementary school graduation ahead of immigration protests

A TikTok user claimed parents ran out of a ceremony at Gratts Learning Academy when federal immigration agents showed up.

On June 6, 2025, a claim circulated online that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents had raided an elementary school graduation in Los Angeles.

The claims circulated ahead of a weekend of protests in the city following ICE raids on June 6. The claim likely stemmed from a TikTok video (archived) uploaded by @justsayuhatebasketball on TikTok.

The TikTok user said a nearby elementary school — Gratts — "was having their graduation and all of a sudden a bunch of parents have to run out because [ICE] is there."

The user went on to say that 15 people just got "picked up" at The Home Depot on Wilshire Boulevard.

The claim also circulated on Facebook (archived), X (archived), Instagram (archived), Threads (archived), Bluesky (archived) and Reddit (archived). Snopes readers wrote in asking if the claim was true.

However, though local and national media reported on immigration enforcement action in LA and resulting protests around June 6-8, 2025, we found no evidence ICE made arrests at Gratts Learning Academy for Young Scholars on June 6, as the TikTok user above claimed. A spokesperson for Los Angeles Unified, the school district where Gratts Learning Academy was located, said via email that the graduation ceremony at the school on June 6, seen in its online calendar, "continued without any disruption."

"The claims that immigration enforcement activity arrived to the school and during the event are false. Additionally, no schools near Gratts went on a soft lockdown," the spokesperson said, addressing an additional claim @justsayuhatebasketball made during his June 6 video. Therefore, we rate this claim false.

But they have been going to graduations. One way to know this is that they say they are doing just that. So whether or not this particular claim is false, which doesn't at all matter, it's clear what is actually happening.

I've not seen a legit news story regarding ICE going to graduations and I don't know who "they" is that is supposedly saying it's happening.

From Google Gemini:

No, while there are reports of concerns about ICE presence at schools, including graduations, there is no indication that ICE is actively targeting these events. Los Angeles public schools, for example, have implemented security measures to protect students and families from potential ICE activity during graduation ceremonies. These measures include creating "perimeters of safety" and providing assistance to families if they are approached by law enforcement. The school district has also instructed principals to prioritize the entry of families to graduation sites and allow them to remain on-site for as long as needed if there are concerns about ICE activity. The superintendent has stated that school police will remain on-site well after the ceremonies end to ensure a safe exit for families.

nycfan gives us a lot of Xitter posts to look at. In some of those, administration officials like Noem and Homan have talked about going to schools to make arrests because there are no safe spaces.

I'm surprised you still believe this administrations hyperbole/trolling.

It's not up to me to believe it. When a government official says they are going to be waiting in a particular spot, would you want to go there? This is a vulnerable population in more ways than one. They don't want to get arrested and thrown in a hole without due process.

And while the Supreme Court has said due process is required, the average Latino roofer in the US has no idea about that. They can see that people have been deported without due process, though. They can see that Trump is not heeding court orders.

So if you don't want people scared about the government doing X, probably the best way is for the government officials not to say they are doing X.

Or arresting people that are here illegally.

Keep moving the goal posts.

80-20 issue and you lefties are on the losing side.
I am not moving goalposts I like Vegatable pickers and Meat Packing workers . I like to eat
