Where it's located isn't really relevant, either. Is anyone less concerned about a jail surrounded by armed guards who will shoot and kill your ass if you try to escape?

Yes, I saw posts about alleged abuses. If that's the concern, as it should be at EVERY jail/prison - that's fine.

They're only allegations.

If the concern is just the fact that there are alligators around the jail, that didn't make sense.

They're both horrible people, but the fact that she left with Elon - and is apparently ready to pursue a divorce - is hilarious and a fitting humiliation to Miller. Not that he likely cares, of course, as he's currently in his glory trying to deport or imprison every single immigrant in the USA.

In fact, I don’t recall a post on this entire thread objecting to the facility because it’s surrounded by alligators. Largely because, if you know anything about that area, it’s not, in fact, surrounded by alligators. And the ones in the area are no threat to humans.

Any reference to alligators was from anger over Trump and the GOP's flaunting of the the fact that it was surrounded by alligators. Nobody said illegal immigrants were actively being fed to alligators.

Well, MAGA and ICE have openly fantasized about gators eating immigrants who dare try to escape.

And I don’t think it is correct to consider it a jail or prison facility. It is a camp of metal cages inside tents in a swamp without any cooling facilities and substandard water, food and port-o-potty facilities where at least a third being held reportedly have committed no crime at all.

Right, and they’re the only ones who have been talking about that. The issue with Zen’s post is not just the dishonesty about the alligators. It’s that he’s fine with all the actual legal and moral problems with the facility.

Noem, challenges with the conditions at this facility, touts the required conditions at federal facilities then pivots to “this is a state facility”; then asked about thirty to a cell: “I wouldn’t call them jail cells, I would call it a facility where they are held and is a secure facility …”
