Now consider why the lie of "censorship by the left is rampant in Great Britain" gets shared so prevently over here.

Your idea that the Right’s propaganda machine over there behaves in any way differently than the one over here. Do you actually believe that the far right’s political success over there exists in a media vacuum?
I don't believe free speech or freedom of the press exist in the same way there as they do here.

I also think there are attempts by one side of any media to downplay specific events and the other side to focus on specific events and at some point reality will prove one side more right than the other.

And I have family in London and Canterbury. The far right works through similar channels there as here. They just haven't been able to gut the BBC to the same degree as the American right has PBS/NPR.

You don't think the entirety of Western Europe has free speech and freedom of the press to the extent that we do? Have you ever visited Europe?

So I was reading a report that ICE deportations will get even more brutal next year:
-"easy" cases have already been deported
-massive increase in ICE budget (really is quite remarkable at the titanic budget they're going to get)
-going to target many more workplace raids

I’d add that with the massive increase in the ICE budget and its overly generous signing bonus coupled with the low standards the Trump Administration has in terms of hiring personnel, the quality of ICE employees will drop. The violent thug element within ICE and CBP will flourish and be encouraged.

Probably right, but Trump’s in a bit of a bind on this. On the one hand, aggressive ICE crackdowns are like heroin for his base and he’d rather talk about that than almost anything else. But those aggressive tactics are becoming increasingly unpopular with everyone outside the dwindling MAGA base. Trump will get a ton of pressure from some congressional Pubs to avoid the CECOT-type optics. While also getting a ton of pressure from other congressional Pubs to ramp it up. I’ll always assume Trump will resolve conflicts of interest in the most pathological direction possible, but this will be a tricky one for him.

This assumes a level of operational competence to scale. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Some republicans say they don’t like some aspects (like this) of Trump’s immigration plan, but it was either this or voting for a Democrat candidate who campaigned on a policy they agreed with.

Yes, because they don't.
This is going to be news to Reporters Without Borders, who publishes an annual World Press Freedom Index

The purpose of the World Press Freedom Index is to compare the level of freedom enjoyed by journalists and media in 180 countries and territories. The definition of press freedom used by RSF and its panel of experts to compile the Index is the following:
“Press freedom is defined as the ability of journalists as individuals and collectives to select, produce, and disseminate news in the public interest independent of political, economic, legal, and social interference and in the absence of threats to their physical and mental safety."
