Let's be honest - people are in real danger of at least being arrested and held by this administration for no reason other than you are Latino or they think you look like one. Native Americans have already "mistakenly" been arrested and detained as Latinos, which shows you the "criteria" they're using. I have some friends living in the USA who are from South or Central America and I am worried for them right now. None are here illegally - some are married to native-born Americans, some have been in the USA for years, and yet I don't think any of that will protect them anymore. If the Trump administration wants to deport or at least arrest and detain people for an indefinite amount of time, they'll find a way to do it, judge or no judge. It's frightening and no doubt terrifying for many people right now, including legal immigrants and even naturalized American citizens.

Antarctic scientists plead for help after colleague ‘threatens to kill’ team members

A group of scientists trapped in an Antarctic research base have pleaded to be rescued after claiming a team member threatened to kill another colleague.

The South African scientists are in the Sanae IV research centre in Vesleskarvet, Queen Maud Land. The South African National Antarctic Program runs the base and the South African National Antarctic Expedition operates it.

The team is completely blocked off on a base where the typical winter temperature is -23C and wind speeds can reach nearly 150mph. It is 2,500 miles from South Africa’s closest point, meaning there is minimal human contact apart from themselves.


One of the researchers reportedly sent a pleading email last week claiming a member of the team had attacked them and was issuing further threats.

The email, seen by The Sunday Times, said: “Regrettably, [his] behaviour has escalated to a point that is deeply disturbing. Specifically, he physically assaulted [X].”

“Furthermore, he threatened to kill [X], creating an environment of fear and intimidation. I remain deeply concerned about my own safety, constantly wondering if I might become the next victim,” the unnamed researcher added.


The researcher also accused the team member of sexually assaulting another.

Yeah, I figured that would come later, in stages. Start with immigrants, then naturalized Latino citizens and even those who had lived in the USA all their life, then finally just start going after non-Latino citizens who dared to oppose or speak up against Trump & Musk.

The Justice Department made an extraordinary argument to a federal judge ahead of a key hearing this afternoon – that an oral order he issued Saturday “is not enforceable,” as the administration defends itself against accusations that it violated an order to hold off on carrying out deportations of migrants the US has accused of being affiliated with a Venezuelan gang.

NASA's latest space launch: 'Stranded' astronauts and messy politics​


“… In the past month, President Trump and his close adviser Elon Musk have repeatedly claimed that the decision to leave Williams and Wilmore in space was politically motivated.

… But some former astronauts and NASA officials have denied any political motives behind the extended stay of Williams and Wilmore. [Musk called an astronaut who challenged Musk’s version of events a “retard” among other things]

… The SpaceX Dragon capsule heading to the station tonight [March 12 article] is carrying the new crew for the station into orbit, but it's not actually going to be the capsule that brings Williams and Wilmore home.

The capsule the duo will use to return to Earth has been attached to the space station since September of last year. That capsule, also built by SpaceX, arrived carrying NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov, and has two extra seats for Williams and Wilmore.

It could have also returned the astronauts at any point in the past six months or so.

Instead of coming back immediately, Williams and Wilmore were fully integrated into the crew of Expedition 72 aboard the space station. Williams became the station commander in September and both she and Wilmore have worked conducting experiments and spacewalks during their time there.

Musk and Trump have pushed the theory that Williams and Wilmore are stuck for political reasons, but former astronauts and NASA officials deny that claim.​

These clowns are so fucking obvious. It's like they watched a 1 hour documentary about Nazi Germany on the history channel and were like, "yeah, let's do that."
