It's more or less hilarious to see the big bad strongman Trump sitting there with the president of an insignificant country as equals. Notice how the list of leaders who support Trump not only come from evil regimes, but pathetically weak ones? Here's a list of Trump's friends:

Milei in Argentina (worst performing economy in Latin America for a long time, save possibly Bolivia).
Bukele in El Salvador (tiny nation)
Orban in Hungary (the leech of Europe, Hungary produces little of value)
Russia, as we all know.
Kim Jong-Un, the leader of one of the poorest countries in the world (in terms of actual living standards of the people).

Nothing says, "I'm so powerful and strong" like hanging out all the time with a bunch of losers. Literally.

With both of these big, bad, tough guys having no clue how to get a misidentified Venezuelan dad from one of their countries to the other. One might question just how powerful they actually are.

I haven't had a chance to read the whole thread, but is it possible he has been tortured, or even killed? Maybe that is why they are refusing to return him because they want keep that secret
The internet is abuzz with those rumors. I don't know if it's true. DOJ in the court filing said he was alive and his whereabouts known. Who knows if that's accurate or not, but if it's not, the lawyer risks losing his entire career. Straight up lying to the court in this way -- i.e. wrongly answering a direct question -- is almost certain to receive discipline, even in our extremely lax world of lawyer regulation.

Trump can't get El Salvador - EL SALVADOR - to return one individual? A country with a GDP of about 10% of Elon Musk's wealth. This is America's great and powerful leader? The guy that's going to get China to bend to his whims on trade? The guy that's going to stop Iran from getting nukes? The guy that's going to wrest Greenland and the Panama Canal for America?

I dunno. If it looks like a cuck, walks like a cuck, and talks like a cuck...

Who gives a fuck about what you think is common sense? We're talking about the law that is MANDATORY FOR THE PRESIDENT TO FOLLOW.

I mean, I can't wait for Dems to get back in power and use all these tools against you assholes. But you see, we're not going to crash the economy because we're not idiots, and then we will have popular support. In particular, I'm glad to see that tattoos are grounds for deportation and imprisonment. Oh boy, are there lots of tattoos out there with such potential. Can't wait for every MAGA pulled over in a traffic stop to be stripped naked checking for tattoos, and get thrown in a hole if they have the wrong ones. Sound like fun to you? Is that the society you want to live in? It's the one you're creating.

And remember: while your shamelessness has given you a temporary advantage politically, the reality is that your side is full of stupid people and ours is full of smart people. Which means, we will win in the long run. It's just that we've been reluctant to do any of this stuff because it's not what we envision for a good society. But if you bring the war to us, you will not win.
Was economy crashed with inflation under Biden? Need to know your partisan level

The only place where the US economy crashed under Biden was on Fox News. Experts elsewhere—especially outside of your silly little cult—would suggest that it was humming. But yeah, I'm sure you think it was a crashed economy. It's what all the good little MAGA sheep were told to think.

Silence can muck this thread up all he wants, but let's be clear what has been said today.

1. Trump has the power to send American prisoners to a prison in El Salvador, but he has no power to get them back if it turns out they were sent in error.
2. Bukele has the power to accept American prisoners into a prison in his own country for pay, but he has no power to return them to the US upon our request.
3. Our executive branch is interpreting the word "facilitate," as used by the Supreme Court, to mean that if an American prisoner incarcerated in El Salvador is somehow able to escape from his prison, travel across Mexico, and appear at the US border, we may or may not let him in, but we have no obligations to that American prisoner otherwise.

There is no defense to this. Which is why only brain-dead cultists are still trying to defend it and/or distract from it.

Our economy was the envy of the world when Biden handed it over to Trump on a silver platter

Take time to educate yourself. If understanding economics is beyond your grasp, then get a tutor to dumb it down for you:sneaky:

Back to the topic of the thread, this is just repeating what was previously posted:

What law was broken?
Well, the withholding order that prevented his deportation to El Salvador. That, in turn, was issued pursuant to several US legal authorities.

And when Stephen Miller says

"Now some have said, well, but he had a thing called a 'withholding order.' A withholding order means you've been ordered deported, but an immigration judge is saying you cannot go back to a particular country. Here's the thing: if you are a member of a foreign terrorist organization, you cannot have a withholding order.""

He is just making things up. The withholding order is an order of the court. It can't be thrown out just because Miller gets a hard-on from torturing people. There is no "terrorist" exception to any of the binding treaties the US has signed, nor to this law:

(3) Restriction on removal to a country where alien's life or freedom would be threatened

(A) In general

Notwithstanding paragraphs (1) and (2), the Attorney General may not remove an alien to a country if the Attorney General decides that the alien's life or freedom would be threatened in that country because of the alien's race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.

The only exception relevant here would be if "(iv) there are reasonable grounds to believe that the alien is a danger to the security of the United States" and that is clearly false. There are no reasonable grounds to believe he is a danger, which is why the withholding order was put in place.
