I shouldn't have to say this, but here we are: The whole point of the Bill Of Rights is to limit what the government can do even when voters want it. Voters might want the government to put gay people in concentration camps; that's not allowed because everyone has a right to liberty.

So when you say, "voters want deportations" and thus all of this OK, you're being fundamentally anti-American. Like, you couldn't be more anti-American. Literally the country was founded on the principle that there can be limitations on the government's power. That was our main contribution to world history until the 20th century, and it remains our greatest contribution to the cause of freedom.
The voters want what the govt is allowed to do. Why is this simple fact hard for you to grasp? America first! Or does that offend you?

The left is all in. Crazy thats the hill they choose to die on.

He's possibly trying to raise his national profile for a presidential run. Defying the other party's president is good politics, especially defying Trump. Same thing that DeSantis and Abbott did.

And remember that there is no Democrat in waiting. Harris will run again but I don't think she has it. Sanders will probably run but I doubt he has it either. Newsome will probably run but who knows how he's going to turn out.

Of course Evers may just be doing it because it's the right thing to do but I'm a bit too much of a cynic to believe it.

Not a winning issue but ok go for it

Did the parents request they go with them?
I have no idea. Since the families were apparently afforded no opportunity to speak to anyone including their counsel or the doctors for the little girl with cancer, it's pretty difficult to know what requests were made.

Regardless, the young ladies are citizens of the United States of America and have been deported by their own government.
