Yep. One way you can tell Trumpers know their war on Minnesota's immigrants (and at this point just Minnesota residents in general) isn't going well at all in the polls is that Dear Leader has largely shut up about it and Trump 2.0 has sent Vance there to be the fall guy and take point. Vance in 2028 may come to rue being sent to trouble spots where his image is only going to suffer to do Trump and Miller and Noem and other MAGA's dirty work of defending increasingly unpopular views and positions for them, while they mostly go silent rather than face the consequences of their increasingly unpopular actions.
