"The most insane thing about all this, is just that: -There is no reason to defend this. It’s not political. You could just say:“Officer didn’t follow protocol. Doesn’t reflect our values. Will be held accountable”There is NOTHING to gain from defending this UNLESS you *want* for ICE to have the freedom to kill US citizens for disagreeing with you!"

That's fine. Waiting for the video and the facts to come out before rushing to judgment is usually a good idea (unless there is good reason to think that the videos and facts will be bullshit). And yes, that is a valuable service to the board.

That's different from saying officers should be able to shoot up an apartment blindly.
They were returning fire after one of them was shot and nearly killed. It wasn’t like they just opened up on a random building for no reason.

I m fully aware of how heavy the partisan shit slinging is on here. Its beyond hatred also. I would hope everyone could agree she made a very stupid decision that cost her life. im a young guy, even I know you simply have to be smarter than that. I don't expect reason on here and I damn sure expect a lot of hateful replies. Oh well no sweat off my back either way, homies
1. You are the one making this a partisan issue. You and the GOP folks apparently dying on the hill of "she was a domestic terrorist" when very clearly she wasn't.

2. There is no partisanship possible here. There are not multiple views of what happened. There are just facts. We can see the facts plainly. There are not two sides. If you want to claim "oh, you liberals being unreasonable," then you are the one creating division, not us.

One would think that even GOP mouth breathers like Randy Fine might be alarmed about a US citizen being executed in cold blood. If you want to stand with him, that's your choice. It is not unreason on our part to insist on the truth.

3. If you want to comply in advance with fascism, that's your choice. It's probably safer for you. But it's your choice and only your choice. Rights mean nothing if they aren't asserted. This woman was clearly within her rights and it's not close. ICE was clearly not within its right and it's not close (they were wrong in at least four ways that I can count, and that's off the top of my head). You don't get to say that the woman was stupid for following the law.

I’m sure they’ll do a very thorough and honest investigation, the findings of which will ultimately conclude that the deceased driver was a trans, left-wing domestic terrorist affiliated with antifa who was trying to kill the ICE agents.
ChatGPT tells me -- with citations, so it's at least not obviously wrong (I always check citations; the issue would be whether its citation list is complete) -- that the FBI taking the investigation doesn't really make that much difference. Minnesota can sue to force disclosure of relevant evidence. Minnesota can also interview witnesses and collect evidence on its own, even if the FBI is running the investigation.

This isn't about politics. It's about right and wrong. It's always been about that with Trump and MAGA. It's about what kind of country do you want. Do you really want it for everyone, or do you just want it for a select few that are like yourselves? Well, we know what MAGA wants, and it's been that way from the start. And they are willing to defend a sociopath who is most likely a pedophile, definitely a fraud and someone who has sexually assaulted women, and find a way to justify anything, no matter how wrong, cruel, racist, and bigoted it is to get the fascist nation they want just for people like themselves.

They were returning fire after one of them was shot and nearly killed. It wasn’t like they just opened up on a random building for no reason.
We already went through this. Let's not do it again. I understand your point; I fully answered it and more so. You were taking an extremist position that was simply untenable, but whatever. This thread isn't about her.

This is way more rhetorical than actually inquisitive, but how in the world did we societally become so casually cruel? How did the social contract completely evaporate so easily? I know that some may believe that right wingers and conservatives have always been like what we are currently seeing in the aftermath of this tragedy in Minneapolis, but I don’t believe that to be actually true. I believe this is a new phenomenon. Ten years ago, 15 years ago, 20 years ago, 25 years ago, etc. most of the country, conservatives and liberals alike, would have been unified in their disgust and revulsion for 1. federal agents performing such a ghastly public summary execution of a soccer Mom in a minivan in broad daylight in the middle of the street, 2. with the president and the vice president of the United States gleefully mocking and celebrating it.
It began in ernest when Orange Turd came down the escalator in 2015.

And people might not like this idea, but I absolutely think video games play a role. Not the games themselves -- it's the sociality. It used to be playing against a computer, and the threat was violent imagery. Now, games are literally about sitting around with your friends (teammates) and trying to kill the other players.
I'm not saying you're wrong here, but I find it to be quite the opposite from my own personal experience and perspective. I play first person shooters to relieve stress. Killing random players on the virtual battlefield helps me decompress and blow off a little steam.

Just seems incredible to me that this lady made what could only be described as a very minor error of judgement, and you hold her to account for that, but you don’t hold (seemingly, I can’t swear I’ve read all your posts on this thread), the guy who killed (possibly murdered) her for no good reason to any account at all.
He's a moron, that response should not be a surprise.
