Given the visual evidence and their collective track records, I'm pretty confident that these people are lying. On purpose.
For the moment, lets focus on JD Vance. This guy is ambitious unbalanced by any sense of ethics. So, why is he being so loud in attacking this particular victim? Sure, his attacks might please that MAGA base. But we're talking about 35-40% of voters, and they are - well - stupid people. If Vance wants to run for President he will have another mountain of evidence to use against him. Surely the vast majority of Americans oppose him on this case, EVEN IF they like the ICE capades.

I completely agree with you that that’s what they are doing and that that’s why they are doing it, but the most deeply disheartening part of it is, they are going to completely get away with it. They are never held responsible legally, electorally, etc. and it seems the way they are acting now, they know it without a shadow of a doubt.

Well, we will see about that. Maybe, maybe not but the book hasn't been written.

Despair of the "they are never held responsible" kind can be self-defeating. Also, tyrants usually think they are safe and then they find themselves hanging by their necks.

I legitimately believe that all of these right wing ghouls are genuinely happier that it was a liberal white woman whom one of their own executed, even more so than they would be if it was a Latina woman. I understand that I am risking saying this as a knee jerk, prisoner of the moment, hyperbolic statement, but it truly feels to me like there has never been a more intense right wing orgasm over the last decade of Trumpism than this one. Every single one of them, from the president and vice president of the United States, right on down to your average run of the mill trailer dwelling, sister fucking, mayonnaise sandwich eating yokel on Facebook cannot even begin to try to contain their gleeful excitement about this execution.
