Starting with Nixon, I remember reading books and articles where they discussed Republicans talking in a racial "code" - or dog whistles where most people would understand what they were getting at without them having to say it openly. Like the infamous Willie Horton ad from the first Bush's 1988 presidential campaign or Jesse Helms running the commercial in 1990 against Harvey Gantt of white hands wadding up a rejected job offer because a "less qualified" black person "took their job" due to affirmative action.
Well, those days are long gone. They're just out and proud now and not even trying to hide it. "Do you have brown or black skin and you're from a Third World country? Then you're inferior and a lazy piece of crap and worthless and probably a terrorist and we don't want you here." I mean, you can't really get any more openly racist and white supremacist (and nativist and xenophobic) than that.

These people are such monumental idiots. The whole operation in Charlotte resulted in about 250 arrests, almost none of whom had criminal records. These city raids are doing nothing to reduce crime or clean up the communities. They only terrorize the locals, waste resources, and drive the wedge even deeper between urban and rural America.

The most charitable descriptor you can use for Republicans at this point is “passively advances white supremacy” as a political position.
The Trump Administration would be perp-walking each-and-every pedophile, child molester, murderer, rapist, drug dealer, gang member, and/or violent criminal that it captures if they were catching many.
We’d see a constant stream of violent criminals on local and national news.
They aren’t doing so because they’re catching Jose who is a landscaper in Myers Park or Manny who cleans pools in Chapel Hill or Eduardo who works at neighborhood taco truck and not one has committed a violent crime.
