Inauguration Day Catch-All | Dust up over flying flags at half mast

I'm actually shocked Trump moved the inauguration indoors. It's obviously the right thing to do from a safety perspective, but Trump's never been one to put safety above spectacle. My guess is his team was telling him that with very cold temps, and maybe also just the general exhaustion in the country, the crowds would have been sparse and he would have been mocked for it after the big deal he made about it in 2017. Regardless, though, I'm glad for the people who have to be there that it will be inside.
Nah, these Republicans are lightweights. Reagan and Trump move things indoors when it gets a little cold. The wind chill was in the mid-teens in 1977, but Jimmy Carter held his inauguration outdoors, then walked down Pennsylvania Ave from the Capitol to the White House!
