I'm not sure what I'm wrong about. Iran is saying that the US is still blockading the strait. They are also accusing Trump of lying. If you put two and two together, Trump apparently promised that the US blockade would be lifted if Iran lifted theirs. They aren't doing this to fuck with Trump. They are doing this because Trump is a liar

That was a wrong prediction. Not merely wrong but spectacularly wrong. Don't you agree? Or maybe you're going to argue about what the words "I'll bet the farm" mean?

I don't think this has as much to do with his preening and more to do with the blockade.

The original statement from Trump about the blockade was "it's all open or it's all closed." So Iran opened the strait as it said it would. Trump refused to call off the blockade. So Iran is going back to "all open or all closed."

Yeah I was talking more about the infuriating confusion he creates. He first said the strait was open and would never be closed again. The he said we aren’t removing the blockade. He KNEW Iran wouldn’t let the strait stay open if the blockade remained in place. If he had just kept his idiotic mouth shut, the ebb and flow of that process could have played out without the markets being intentionally deceived by the president of the United States.

The one bluffing is Trump. He's terrible at bluffing. Moreover, he has now bluffed many times and backed down when called. Everyone knows he is weak. Countries around the world are lining up to take advantage of him.

If the US is still blockading the strait, then Iran's economy is still being stifled, right?

Iran needs the strait opened like Trump agreed to do, apparently.

Again, they won't close the strait because we can ruin their economy. If we are still ruining their economy, by blocking the strait, there's literally no reason for them to not block the strait from their side.

There's no goal post moving, just critical thinking.
