I agree. Christians have moved on from nearly all of the socially unacceptable "norms" of the Bible. Muslim fundamentalists have not. They still support (actively support in many cases) killing homosexuals, martyrdom, violent Jihad, the killing of apostates, etc.

The same is true for many Christian Nationalists. That along with the subjugation of women and a return to slavery. I doubt the percentage of Christian Nationalists and their supporters and Islamists and theirs are probably fairly similar. I still blame monotheism and especially the Abrahamic religions.

We've been through this before also. Plenty of Christians support killing homosexuals -- indeed, in many nations Christian governments have imposed brutal laws against homosexuals.

Your argument might work better if Pete Hegseth was not currently invoking the Old Testament as a justification for war crimes. Or his preacher talking about how he wants to kill James Talerico.
