Well, the Bible endorses some pretty fucked up things. Killing gays, killing your wife if she's not a virgin in your wedding night, killing your kids for arguing, etc.

How many of that type of thing are Christians, even fundamentalists, still practicing?

Worse. There are a subset that believes Trump was divinely chosen to trigger the Rapture by attacking the "Prince of Persia." For Israel. There are folks in my neighborhood who believe this sh*t.
