So where does this cluster fuck rank up there with Trump being a pedophile, a rapist, ignoring COVID, using ICE as his own personal militia against anyone with brown skin, Jan 6, and gutting the government and refunding programs that led to people losing jobs and USAID recipients dying?

How sad that this is what our nation has become under this administration.

We used to the leader of the free world. We used to be a beacon of hope to other nations. We used to have allies willing to go to battle with us to help defend democracy and freedom. We used to be the good guys. We used to be good.

Imagine actually bragging about "destroying" an entire country and its people, like it's some kind of video game.

Shame on Donald Trump, our so-called "president" who behaves more like a petulant child. Shame on his entire administration. And most of all, shame on our government for allowing us to get to this place.

I don't know how old you are, but if you are my age, I am pretty sure that you had at least one BSC uncle that you saw on family occasions. The one who was always spounting off about the evils of: Blacks, Hispanics, Women who didn't know their places, Commies, Libs, Jews, Catholics, Unitarians, etc. Pretty much any and everyone who did not mirror his beliefs.

I had more than one such uncle. I was never comfortable being alone with them without another adult being within shouting distance. Ethics and moral codes with them are for others. Their moral code was pretty much an after the fact justification for whatever they did. I am glad that we no longer live in a society where child molestation is something to be swept under the rug to "protect the child."

I don't know what the relationship is between a child molester and being a BSC conservative, but in the South of my childhood, I'm thinking it was pretty strong. And while that particular belief may not have ever been valid or may be no longer valid, it is one that still inhabits the darker recesses of my memory and animates my understanding of what lies at the basis of everything that drips from the lips of every BSC right-winger.
