That would be a great bargain for a number of reasons.
 
I heard a good episode of "Plain English with Derek Thompson" about the second order effects of the war. The most concerning to me was this: There are many Pacific island nations that basically run on diesel and will not be able to afford it, or even get it, in due time. This is where China can step in and be the good guy selling fuel, in contrast to the Trump "Fuck You" doctrine. Soon we have Chinese ports and a naval presence where once there weren't any. China doesn't need to play 3D chess to win; they just need to sit back and watch Trump fuck up at Chutes and Ladders.

The other big second order f-up: Trump has leaned more into oil while simultaneously making it more risky AND divesting in alternative energy, ceding solar and battery manufacturing dominance to China.

China wins. Trump (and the US) loses. Fuck me.
 
Bibi led Trump by the nose into this Iran fiasco, while 43, Obama, Biden said No Can Do.



After the cease fire was announced. Bibi called Trump to tell him that the Lebanon campaign would accelerate. Then Iran closed the straight.

JFC. Those conditions would effectively make this war a clear and humiliating defeat for the United States based on our initial goals. No real regime change, Iran effectively controls the Strait of Hormuz and can charge a fee for other nations to pass, and we unfreeze their assets and effectively pay their government. But we got MAGAs on here telling us that the real problem is that liberals hate Trump too much and that he's just doing the best he can to get us out of a mess that he got us into. There really is nothing that he does - no self-inflicted disaster great enough - that they will not excuse. But we're the ones with TDS, lol.
