They terrorize the Palestinians and support settler terrorism.
Israeli settlers are arrested and charged all the time.
"Provoke" in the middle east has it never a ending trail... but even if we start with the establishment of Israel, they have contributed to the drama in the region.
The establishment of Israel by Britain, after WWII, when Jews had nowhere to go and were being turned away at various shores around the world, including US shores. Are attacks against Israel justified for the simple fact that Israel exists?
Also, take a look at the map of the original Israel plan and a map of Israel today.
Yes, for a variety of reasons the borders of Israel have expanded. I don't know enough about the details to comment, but I also find it hard to believe that the border of Israel plays any relevant role in the terrorism against Israel.

You find a lot of true things hard to believe.

Israel's border matters because they have manipulated it to make a two state solution basically impossible. And since they are unwilling to grant any form of citizenship or self-determination to Palestinians within their borders, the result is an apartheid state. This is not difficult to understand and yet somehow you completely manage to fail.

Arrested, sometimes. Convicted rarely, which is why it keeps happening.

Key Statistics on Accountability
  • Low Conviction Rate: Analysis by the Israeli human rights organization Yesh Din shows that from 2005 to 2024, approximately 94% of investigation files into settler violence were closed without an indictment. Only 3% of investigations resulted in a conviction.
  • Trend in Complaints: In recent years, there has been a sharp increase in the percentage of victims who choose not to file complaints, citing distrust in Israeli authorities or fear of retaliation.
  • Investigations: Reports indicate that investigations into settler violence have significantly decreased since 2023.

When they don't make sense and/or unsupported by facts, yes. You should try that approach sometime.
Israel's border matters because they have manipulated it to make a two state solution basically impossible.
A two state solution is impossible because terrorists run Gaza and giving them complete sovereignty would result in the end of Israel.
And since they are unwilling to grant any form of citizenship or self-determination to Palestinians within their borders, the result is an apartheid state.
It has nothing to do with race, bigotry or discrimination and everything to do with the fact that Hamas, who runs Gaza, has publicly stated their intention to eliminate Israel.

Prior to October 7th, Israel gave work visas to thousands of Gazans. Nearly 20% of Israel is Muslim.
This is not difficult to understand and yet somehow you completely manage to fail.
I agree, but it's not me that is failing.

Trump has gotten the US in a bad place/ About the only possible logic here is that the blockade is a lifeline call to China: "Come rescue me"

Chine is an export economy and the Strait being closed for much longer will lead to an global recession. So maybe China will step in

Maybe, but on whose side?

I wouldn’t bet on that. CCP is willing to take more pain on their people than Trump is willing to withstand the fury of the MAGA base. That’s why he’s trying to pretend this blockade isn’t already in place by Iran instead of firing up more missiles.

This is my fear. Had Americans made the right decision 17 months ago, we would likely be entering a new era of Pax Americana. Now, we are perilously vulnerable to a devastating blow from China, who just months ago was teetering on the edge of an economic and demographic catastrophe. It’s mind boggling how much damage Trump has done in a very short amount of time.

How can Trump blockade an already blockaded strait?
I think he's saying that either everyone gets through or no one does. Its probably the right thing. He can't let Iran dictate who gets to go through.

I say probably because I'm sure letting a few oil tankers through every day could alleviate oil prices.
