I dont buy it either, plus Trump knows “his” Congress will ultimately pass the bill.I genuinely don’t buy it. Trump is great at distracting the media and driving the news cycle without making a politically risky decision like this (with his first resistance from parts of his MAGA base). I’m not saying that he wouldn’t do all kinds of shenanigans to change the news cycle/move on from unflattering or bad news for him, but this doesn’t strike me as the easy candidate he would be likely to employ.
I don't know. What happened Saturday makes passage of the bill significantly less likely.I dont buy it either, plus Trump knows “his” Congress will ultimately pass the bill.
*ding*ding*ding*. We have a winner.I would say yes, but i don't think he's smart enough to think of that. I think it's more likely he got FOMO from watching Fox News and seeing Israel attacking.
I hope so, but fear otherwise.I don't know. What happened Saturday makes passage of the bill significantly less likely.
ETA -- A number of influential MAGAs are calling Saturday the end of Trump 2.0's domestic agenda. That may be a little much, but I do think his ability to shape domestic policy has been massively neutered.
They just refueled in Guam. The Pacific journey is much farther than across southern Asia. That does make sense. I didn’t know it was closer. I stand corrected.
Why does our president sound like a 4th grader making fun of other kids’ names?Donna is way too hot. Needs way more wrinkles.
i'm from ENC so i'm biased but Hertford, Gates, Camden, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Chowan and Bertie are all made more palatable by their proximity to the albemarle sound (and chowan river) than a lot of comparably poor areas in SC that don't have access to water like that. better soil, better views, etc.Yes. And I’m also not sure many people have spent much time in Graham, Swain, Macon or Clay counties. Or for that matter in Hertford, Gates, Camden, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Chowan or Bertie. That’s POVERTY. And I fully recognize SC has a ton of those areas as well, but rural NC is not really different from what I can tell.
gsp and asheville-hendersonville are almost equal population wise.NC has Charlotte and RDU, which have no corollary in SC. Other than that, the states are similar, just on a different scale.
GSP is a larger version of the Asheville-Hendersonville area.
GSO is comparable to the Columbia area.
Wilmington is a much smaller version of the Charleston area.
Outside of those "metro" areas, the states are very similar. But no doubt NC has the advantage with CLT and RDU.
Flagged for future reference.12 Day War is over! Tepid retaliation by Iran who is suddenly acting as a rational actor.
