So where do we stand?

We blew the shit out of Iran’s nuke facilities, then Iran couldn’t do anything about it whatsoever, and now we’ve got a ceasefire that recently became effective?
 
Trump coming unglued this morning as he's finding making peace is a little tougher then ordering bombs to be dropped.

You know, I could agree that taking out Iran's nuclear ability is warranted. Although, according to Politico this may turn out to be a very short term setback for Iran. But the problem is that it was folly to think Trump could handle this.

I was up with our newborn when you posted this at 2 AM ET, thought I might have to actually write a post sincerely congratulating Trump for somehow being the POTUS who finally brokered peace in the Middle East, and now at 7 AM it’s apparently no longer true. Wild!

NBC just said both countries legitimately want the ceasefire but also wanted to get last licks in. They said Trump being so strong with Israel this morning means that side will likely comply going forward. Or all sounds very promising.

Which is why the staggered cease-fire he announced didn’t make sense in the first place. Both parties tend to intensify fighting ahead of a cessation of violence to try to strengthen their position up to the last second.
