Iran has already said that if Israel responds, they will face “crushing attacks”.

It feels choreographed to me as well. Maybe it isn’t. But we all knew it was coming. And just like the missiles a couple months ago, at least at this point, there doesn’t seem to be a huge amount of damage.
 
Crazy seeing the missiles in the sky and then seeing them get shot down. I'm sure the pieces of the missiles falling to the ground still cause damage and are dangerous.
 
It appears the attack is over for now and folks are given all clear to leave bomb shelters
 
There was also a terrorist mass shooting in Tel Aviv today.
 
I understand that there are valid criticisms of Israel, but in this very particular instance in which they are being directly attacked militarily on their own sovereign soil by a foreign adversary, do folks really believe that Israel (and to an extent the United States as one of her primary allies) doesn't have the right to respond in whatever manner they see fit? I can't imagine anyone would think that if the United States were under direct missile attack from a foreign adversary, that we shouldn't retaliate with the explicit purpose of significantly reducing or eliminating the enemy's ability or desire to conduct further attacks.

Israel has bombed Lebanon, Syria, and Iran in the past few years. Do those countries have a right to defend themselves from a foreign adversary?

I hear ya. You're right, no question. I just mean that in this very specific instance, I'm not sure what folks expected Israel to do besides exactly what they are telling us they are going to do. That's all I meant. Was probably a poorly articulated and stupid thought on my part that didn't really add to the discussion.
