I don't think Trump authorized this action to "cater" to Netanyahu. Trump has had a fixation with Iran since Obama arranged for the JCPOA. This is as much about a line of grievance from Obama to JCPOA to personal threats against Trump. He was bellicose during his first term and this attack is just a manifestation of that bellicosity.

Sure not what Netanyahu seems to indicate and really, terrible judgment is terrible judgment whether that is some, none or all of it. Screw a bunch of not only being mercenaries for charity but picking up a large part of the tab. There is no direct benefit to our nation or near future security and it's about the worst possible way to try to secure the future.

Any side that wins is going to hate us and immediately look for nukes so this doesn't happen again. So, we're going to have to count on the American people to have the will, the stupidity and the money to enforce this situation into the future.

our efforts in WW2 were certainly huge but otherwise our contributions on the global stage have been a mixed bag at best.
