Yeah, there's a better chance Pete's entire family is a Manti Teo catfishing situation than that he actually had that exchange with his son.

Well, Trump is the great negotiator and could ask what price would it take to open the "straight" if we cut and run.
Maybe Iran would ask that Trump not claim that he won the war and pay a bribe of 100 billion ( which is only half of the request we need to fight the war )

Trump would allow every one of our soldiers to be killed before he would end this thing without claiming victory.

Eh, I'd say it's quite possible that Pete's son made a general inquiry about "How was work?" and Pete responded with some half-baked BS like that.

I assume Pete's son knows enough at this point to not roll his eyes until he's out of his dad's sight.

He said this the other day.

When asked if he is afraid this war could expand, he said he isn’t afraid of anything.

Baked into that response is a clear indication that he doesn’t give two shits about our soldiers being killed to accomplish his goals, even though he can’t articulate what those goals might be.

It’s almost like he has never actually interacted with a 13-year-old boy and yet he shares the impulse control and sense of humor of a 13-year-old boy.

It's spiraling out of control so fast now.

I was thinking this morning, everything Trump has done so far this term has been horrible but predictable. We knew it would be that bad. This feels like the first thing that's even worse than most people's extremely low expectations. As stupid as the man is, I really didn't think Trump would launch a large-scale war in the Middle East. We're now moving into the unpredictable ranges of Trump's horribleness, and I have no idea what might come next.
