Yes which is why Obama achieved a deal with Iran that effectively eliminated Iran's pursuit of its nuclear weapons program and the threat to our national security. Unfortunately, Trump torpedoed that deal . You have to ask yourself why he did that then and is stupidly blundering in the middle east again today.

Trump's plan appears to be the equivalent of dropping an M80 into a sealed room full of 100 sleeping cats and then sit back and see what happens.

Nuclear weapons are not offensive weapons. They are defensive weapons. No nuclear armed country has ever been attacked militarily, save possible minor skirmishes on a contested border that amount to nothing. Everyone but MAGA knows this, and you keep falling for the same bullshit over and over again. Unfortunately you drag us down with you.

Remember when it was "the world be more dangerous if North Korea gets nukes"? I don't feel any more endangered with KJU sitting on a few warheads. If Iran got nukes, the world would be exactly as dangerous as before.

It is a mathematical certainty that nuclear weapons will be used at some point in the future. The fact that it hasn't happened yet should not give you great comfort that it won't happen in the future. It is inevitable. Whether it results in the end of humanity remains to be be seen, but it is naive in the extreme to assume that nuclear weapons are simply deterrents.

Surely this time is different from all the dozens of times when (according to Bibi) Iran was right on the cusp of having a nuclear weapon.

If I’m going to enjoy cocktails while watching the game, I need to stay off ZZLP and return to game threads on IC where all the lively action is.

The question we have to ask is which people are most likely to use nuclear weapons? Is it Kim Jong Un who has 100 cars, a harem and loves NBA basketball or is it the people whose time on earth is meaningless other than to earn their way into an afterlife of eternal bliss by killing the infadels and martyring themselves?
