What gets me is the hypocrisy from the Right. If this were Obama or Biden.

I share your concern. I am very concerned about my daughters but even more concerned about my grandchildren.I think you are old enough that you are safe. I am a bit worried about my daughter and her yet to be born children, though.
Feature, not a bugWhat gets me is the hypocrisy from the Right
Wonder what their response would have been if it were a Bible?![]()

I agree. What's really to stop AI from deciding humans are awful and taking over the nuclear weapons in the future and destroying the planet?I share your concern. I am very concerned about my daughters but even more concerned about my grandchildren.
When it comes to what I think may ultimately bring about the end of humanity as we know it, my Luddite fear is more focused on technology and how we are on a path where we as a people are finding out daily that we cannot responsibly metabolize and manage the rapid change.
I am very concerned about climate change and nuclear war but I fear technology will ultimately bring about the end of humanity. Now let me put back on my tin foil hat![]()
Put it in terms of something they might could do which is render the earth uninhabitable for humans. The earth itself will just shrug it off again. That always makes me laugh at the Save the Earth people. The supporters don't realize it doesn't need saving and the opponents and about half the supporters don't realize it's about saving their own asses.I agree. What's really to stop AI from deciding humans are awful and taking over the nuclear weapons in the future and destroying the planet?
I saw no reference in your "Columbus Dispatch" link that mentions anything remotely related to Obama's Iran nuclear deal.If you believe that then im sorry for your loss.
Here’s a history lesson for you.
Don't bet more on that than you can afford to lose.I saw no reference in your "Columbus Dispatch" link that mentions anything remotely related to Obama's Iran nuclear deal.
And the author of your link is Ray Watford who is is a retired newspaper production director ???
Come on Calla ,surely you can come up with something better than that
*Crickets*Wonder what their response would have been if it were a Bible?
I don't expect a response but hope springs eternalDon't bet more on that than you can afford to lose.![]()
Whatever springs out of it should have the coliform levels tested.I don't expect a response but hope springs eternal
Of course it does. MAD isn't meaningful for people who don't value their time on EarthYou don’t think Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles poses a threat to our national security or that of Israel’s?
Yep, mother earth will be just fine whether nuclear war, climate change, technology or something else takes out humanity.Put it in terms of something they might could do which is render the earth uninhabitable for humans. The earth itself will just shrug if off again. That always makes me laugh at the Save the Earth people. The supporters don't realize it doesn't need saving and the opponents and about half the supporters don't realize it's about saving their own asses.
And Stephen Tyler.Yep, mother earth will be just fine whether nuclear war, climate change, technology or something else takes out humanity.
but if there are survivors to whatever the calamity, they will be Cher and cockroaches![]()
I don't know which combination I'd hate to see breed the worst. And Stephen Tyler.
