Because Iran chose to attack non-military targets in Arab countries, we have effectively damaged Iran's relationship with Oman, UAE, and Qatar.

I don't think those countries are going to be sending Happy Eid al-Fitr cards to Iran in 10 days.

Not sure how much that helps us and pretty sure it doesn't balance out. They aren't that happy with us right now either.
 
Iran has every incentive to keep this war going for several more weeks, irrespective of what Trump tries to do. Keeping the Strait of Hormuz closed for a month or more would devastate Trump's presidency and the global economy. Pretty effective deterrent to being bombed and “regime-changed” again in eight months.

I know people are still trying to collect judgments related to the 79 hostage incident but I thought the courts have held that its property can't be touched.
