Y'all need to drop the white supremacy facade moving forward when voting. Clearly most of youse are narcissists are are easy to get bored, but if regular ppl can't opt out of the white supremacy nightmare, what's really the point of even posting on this site. It's gotten beyond ridiculous.
Remove race entirely and you'd still have a maga coalition via tribalism and misinfo bound by bible, guns, hate/fear of gay people, and confusion regarding small vs big gov.
Add it back, and it's worse, but you'd still have something awful and powerful without.

Don't doubt appointing a puppet is part of it. But the result is that it will be harder to negotiate directly with the U.S. Have a feeling Iran has had enough of negotiating with Trump and will seek to talk to the Gulf nations and get some sort of payoff. Like kicking Americans off a military base or two.

Mr. Axelrod has more confidence in the integrity of the people remaining around trump post-purging Term #2 than i do.
I think this was an issue of competence more so than integrity. It sounds like they were using AI for target selection and the AI designated the school as something else that was part of the nearby IRGC base. When using AI on the battlefield for things like targeting you have to have a human fully in the loop, not just rubber stamping. And when you make a mistake on the battlefield you have to own it. For as bad as the incompetent strike was, the blame shifting and coverup are far worse, but that seems to be coming from Trump directly because initial reporting on the investigation by the military is saying that it was us.

The non-war-war which wasn't started by Trump but was started by Trump because Iran was about to initiate a nuclear attack on us...with nuclear weapons that were OBLITERATED last year by Trump...is ending, except it's not ending because it's just beginning...but it is ending--soon--but we don't know when, and if you question that you're a "Panican," but the only reason Trump indicated it would be ending--which it's not, but it is (not)--is because he completely panicked when he saw the oil prices exploding--which, weren't exploding, they were merely jumping up with joy at Trump having (not) started/ended the non-war-war against Iran.

^^That's the president's recent speech in a nutshell.

Welcome to the era of Orwellian doublespeak.

This would be hilarious if it wasn't true.

Does anyone (even his MAGA base) really believe this?
As a thought experiment, let's pretend it's true. #1) How would the Iranian attack have been different from what they have already done? I suspect not much. #2) How would our defense against the attack have been any different than what it is now? I suspect not much. #3) How would the American appetite for war with Iran be different from what it is now? I suspect it would be far, far greater.

I'm not saying we should sit back and allow ourselves to be attacked. But I think reality suggests the primary difference in outcome would have been more public support for a conflict, which would have been a good thing for the administration.

Anyway, it's highly, highly unlikely to be true because this administration lies for convenience dozens of times a day, because the administration has offered no specific claim or evidence of the how/when/where of an attack, and because the Iranian government is hostile, not suicidal.

Hate to hear that, but it's the smartest thing for them to do at present, IMO. They have figured out that they can put the balls of the global economy, the Trump presidency, and Israel all in a vice grip at the exact same time. They'd be stupid to give up that power because it would mean that they'd be right back in this same spot 6 months from now. Iran is unlikely to negotiate a ceasefire for the simple reason that it has already embraced total war with an endgame to extract a heavy cost on the U.S. and Israel to establish future deterrence.

Those cars were all pieces of crap and they even looked horrible. The Pinto was famous for catching on fire if it was hit in the back by another vehicle, even just enough to cause slight damage. I'm just old enough to remember the oil embargo and gas stations putting handwritten cardboard signs saying "out of gas" on their pumps. It was bad enough then, but if something like that happened today with the internet and current political climate it would likely be insane - I envision plenty of fights and even shootings in some areas at gas stations.
Agree all those cars were pieces of shit. All of my friends were driving Datsuns and Toyotas. I looked and felt like a dumb ass and that stupid Chevrolet.

Iran's institution of theocracy stands - there was a massive gathering of support in Tehran. The manner in which the war has been conducted has virtually negated regime change.

Iran's new leadership will not negotiate now that Trump 1.0 and 2.0 have pulled the rug twice out of diplomacy.

Trump attacked Iran because he and Bibi perceived them as weak and fragile. Persians have a very long history, older than any state of Israel. They might have picked up a history book...or in Trump's case had someone read it out loud to him.

Endings of wars are political. Trump has no one to make a deal with. So much for making it up as he goes.
