Way wrong on that. Israel deploying a nuke would unite the world against them and not much the US could do to offset that type of damage. So far they have the silent support of most of the ME countries, Europe, and North america. No way they every use a nuke preemptively.

Bibi doesn't really have an Exit Plan as usual...but I have trouble feeling sorry for the Mullahs and their military. They've relied on Proxies (Syria/Assad), Putin/Russia, Hezbollah, Hamas for decades. One by one the proxies have been crippled, and Iran didn't (re)build its own defensive infrastructure after the Iran-Iraq War and allowed Mossad to penetrate their military. Regime change before Iran's O&G production capacity is decimated is a gambit for both sides. Iran's running out of options except spreading the war to Arab countries.

That could backfire with enormous consequences. The Arab States really hate Iran/Persia, possibly even more than they hate Israel. I'll let folks consult the mutual animosity to the history books. For example, the Saudis have been shooting down Iranian missiles. And the US will defend the oil and gas fields in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, etc.

As clumsy as the Gaza campaign has been, Israel has cut the legs out of the proxies. The Mossad's Intel in Iran has been Trojan Horse historically epic. Trump is probably trying to chill Putin into not interfering, which is less likely with russia's weakened capabilities. I'm sure Trump has served up Ukraine on a silver platter to Darth Putin.
