Easy for you to say, as a 60+ year old man who has never served and would never be sent to the frontlines in any potential imminent conflict now. In my home office I’ve got the flag that was draped over the casket of a first cousin of mine who was killed at Fallujah- my aunt and uncle couldn’t bear to have it in their house as a reminder of their 21-year-old being killed on some foreign desert in the Middle East. You’ve never chosen to make that kind of sacrifice, and fortunately for you at your age, you never will be asked to do so, so perhaps be a little less flippant about the ones who do have the bravery and courage to serve and sacrifice?
My point is that we have plenty of volunteers and the military will never go back to a drafted military after Vietnam.

biden was an absolute disaster. His foreign policy with Iran was appeasement.
  • Attacks since the October 2023 Israel-Hamas war: Iran-backed groups launched a campaign of attacks on Israeli, US, and other targets in the Middle East following the outbreak of the war, including over two hundred attacks on US and Israeli targets in Iraq and Syria.
Comp[lete buillsh*t. The US strongly supported Israel against Iran and Iran's proxies during Biden. Blinken and Austin were on top of it. Are you deaf and blind? The freakin far left and Hamas propagandists were screaming bloody murder at Trump and STAYED HOME or voted for Trump in the 2024 election. Biden's support of Israel against Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran contributed to Harris losing the election. You're out of your gourd! lol

Folks, let's keep in mind that Trump less than 24 hours ago said US Intelligence was WRONG!

This is a WIN for our military, but broken clock FOMO for Trump.
lol. You are like k and mickie riding out as losers on the back of the golf cart after the Heels put the spike in his heart at the FF. It’s a win for trump. It’s a win for the US. It’s a win for the world.

Think I may have done enough doomscrolling on Twitter and Reddit for the night haha. Might be time for bed. Sincerely, sincerely appreciate everyone who took time to answer my (probably elementary) questions on this thread tonight. Feel like I’ve learned a little more than I knew a few hours ago.

God bless our troops.

Well, our intelligence completely screwed up when it came to knowing whether Saddam Hussein had WMDs, which led to our invasion of Iraq, so they definitely are not perfect by any means.
That was on Bush for cherry picking intelligence data. It was not the consensus of the US intelligence services that Iraq still had WMD’s.

here you go. A lot of words but the summary is that he effectively did nothing. His actions resulted in no deterrence as Iran continued to attack the US and its interests. Think trump would have put up with 200 attacks?

President Biden's response to the numerous attacks on US interests, primarily in Iraq and Syria, attributed to Iran-backed militias, has involved a
two-pronged approach:
1. Retaliatory Strikes:
  • Targeted Military Actions: The US military has conducted numerous airstrikes against targets linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and affiliated groups in Iraq and Syria. These strikes have targeted facilities like command and control centers, intelligence centers, weapons storage facilities, and logistics and munition supply chain facilities.
  • Response to Attacks on Personnel: These retaliatory strikes have been directly linked to attacks on US personnel in the region, particularly following attacks that resulted in injuries or fatalities. For example, a major round of strikes in February 2024 was launched in retaliation for a drone attack in Jordan that killed three US service members and injured dozens.
  • "Tiered Response": Biden indicated that the response would not be a single event, but a series of actions over time, carried out "at times and places of our choosing". This suggests a deliberate and strategic approach to deter further attacks.
2. Deterrence and Messaging:
  • Public Statements: Biden has made clear that the US "shall respond" to attacks on its forces. He has emphasized that the US does not seek wider conflict but will take necessary actions to defend its interests.
  • Diplomacy and De-escalation: Despite the strikes, the administration has also worked to de-escalate tensions in the region. There have been reports of efforts to negotiate ceasefires and address the root causes of instability.
  • Emphasis on Self-Defense: The administration has framed its military actions as acts of self-defense, justified by the attacks on US and coalition forces.
However, it's important to note:
  • Ongoing Attacks: Despite US retaliatory efforts, Iran-backed militias have continued to attack US forces in the region.
  • Calls for Stronger Action: Some critics argue that the US should directly target Iranian interests to deter their proxies more effectively.
  • Concerns about Escalation: There are ongoing concerns about the potential for wider conflict in the Middle East due to these repeated attacks and US responses.

Thanks be to God that Biden/Blinken/Sulliven/Austin/Harris were not in charge.

Nice CHOKE in the Finals!!

Trump and the far left both claimed Blinken, Austin, Biden, Harris were war mongers. How do you know they wouldn't have bombed the nuclear sites two days ago?

Let's keep in mind that Trump abandoned Syria during his first administration allowing ISIS, Assad, Russia extra life and allowed the Turks to start killing Kurds who had been protecting against Russian. Trump abandoned the Iran Nuclear deal. Trump increased the national debt by 25%.

I was a REPUBLICAN before Trump took the Elevator ride.! lol My family originally were Pubs from NY. We KNEW that Trump was a Crook with endless business failures. Remember, Trump has been claiming and posting about Peace for years.

Very predictable that the two resident Trump bots are head over heels defending this shit. Trump was always the outspoken anti-war president, but when he drags us into a war the logic flips on a dime in their peanut brains. So pathetic.
What war are we in?

Sounds like Biden responded. I don't see your question cited, so it's hard to know how direct and full the answer was.

You have no idea (and neither does Trump) how he would respond. I'd love to play some poker against MAGA types. It clears up why so many people have been taken by Carpetbaggers and snake oil salesmen in the 19th Century. Trump is FOS at all times.
