I think it's a pretty safe bet that Iran is funding Hezbollah and the Houthis, But I thought that Saudi Arabia was fairly close to eliminating, for the most part, the Houthis. Is that not the case and, if it was, did they stop or have the Houthis just regrown since then?

Iran has rejected direct negotiations with the US in response to Trump’s letter

“… President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran’s response, delivered via the sultanate of Oman, left open the possibility of indirect negotiations with Washington. However, such talks have made no progress since Trump in his first term unilaterally withdrew America from Tehran’s nuclear deal with world powers in 2018.

In the years since, regional tensions have boiled over into attacks at sea and on land. Then came the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip, which saw Israel target militant group leaders across Iran’s self-described “Axis of Resistance.”

Now, as the U.S. conducts intense airstrikes targeting the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels of Yemen, the risk of military action targeting Iran’s nuclear program remains on the table.

… “We don’t avoid talks; it’s the breach of promises that has caused issues for us so far,” Pezeshkian said in televised remarks during a Cabinet meeting. “They must prove that they can build trust.” …”

  • The B-2 bombers can carry huge bunker buster bombs that would be a key element in any possible military action against Iran's underground nuclear facilities. …”

“Iranian news agencies tied to the government and Revolutionary Guard are reporting that two foreign-owned tankers were apprehended earlier today, March 31, for diesel fuel oil smuggling. The crews are being detained and the vessels directed toward Iran.

…The action comes as tensions remain high in the region. Iranian officials said they are rejecting a letter from Donald Trump that demanded talks to resolve Iran’s nuclear program and threatened dire consequences. Trump reportedly said he could send long-range bombers to attack Iran.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy Commander, Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, threatened retaliation if Iran was attacked. He told reporters on Saturday if ordered he was prepared to close the Strait of Hormuz.

Reports indicated on Saturday, March 29, the second of two cargo ships carrying the base component for rocket fuel reached Iran after a trip from China. After processing, it could supply solid fuel for approximately 250 of Iran’s medium or short-range rockets. …”

This all could have been avoided by not tearing up the original agreement.
But Trump doesn’t know how to leave well enough alone. He just has to fuck up everything.

On come on... he has already told us of the enormous size of his brain... last term. Probably it has grown since then.
