Trump doesn't know shit. Bibi is pulling all the strings here.

@nycfan and others said the smart thing was to bomb Iran at this point. So, it is not as though this board all said the world would end if we bombed Iran.
Bibi set off the FOMO in Trump. Putin has been orchestrating this through Trump. It's been Trump 2.0 TV.

"Hope y'all have forgotten about the Big Bullsh*t Bill."

Everyone gets a win:

1. Israel gets a weakened adversary in Iran with ghosts for proxies and heavily damaged nuke development infrastructure
2. US gets a mini CNN TV mini-series where we blow up stuff real good!
3. Iran's Mullahs survive without regime change, continue to sell their oil, and keep the enriched uranium. If they need "the bomb," the russia can provide it.
4. Saudis, UAE, Egypt also share the joy that the Persians have taken one in the 'nads.
5. Xi continues to sop up Persian and Russian oil.
6. O&G companies go back to normalcy.
7. Russia's ruble continues to rise. Putin receives assurances from Trump that the US will continue to blow off Ukraine during 2.0.

This is really premature.
Given that we're dealing with both Donald J. Trump and the Middle East, anybody who thinks this is the end of this mess is fooling themselves, imo. Consistency, reliability, stability, and peace are not terms that anyone should associate with either of those things.

Way to miss the point.
What is the point? Guy has an exclamation point that a woman flew a combat mission. Just like the hundreds or maybe thousands before her? How is that one step closer to gender equality? I mean I guess technically it is one step closer to gender equality but it's like getting excited that a woman changed her car's oil or a woman is a doctor. It breaks the traditional gender roles but it's not exactly groundbreaking.

This whole thing has been fascinating in the sense that it very weirdly made progressives and MAGA isolationists strange bedfellows in their shared animosity toward striking Iran.

IMO the question is whether Israel will agree to a ceasefire. I see no reason Iran would oppose a ceasefire. 24 hours into the conflict it was abundantly clear Iran was no match for Israel.

I think the MAGA isolationists are going to get over it real fast in light of today’s events.

Well, yeah, there’s no doubt about that considering they don’t actually have non-malleable principles outside of unconditional fealty to Trump when all is said and done. It was way more shocking in the first place that they would even pretend to take a stand that wasn’t unequivocally pro-Trump.

Have to give Ravid credit. Less than 20 minutes after news that Iran had launced missiles at Qatar, he was on CNN and said this means w=r i over./ Iral pre-notified Qatar and US, press releeases done in advance and Israel and Iran would also be stopping soon.
