"Happiness" that Trump is liable for a sexual crime (not rape) against a female.
I think the point is that it’s disconcerting that someone who is leading our country into war is also civilly liable for rape and has numerous accusations of heinous crimes against women and minors in the Epstein files.

Further, there is a long history of leaders who are embroiled in scandal at home starting wars to try and draw attention from said scandals.

That's most of Asia. Now do Central and South America. Don Bosco can help.
Yeah, I'm well aware of our many, many, many "interventions" in Latin America dating back to the 1800s. But listing those would have made my post a mile long, so I limited it to Asia, or at least a few of our failed efforts at regime change there.

So that makes it right? You like it otherwise you’d call it out.
I don’t like it. It makes him look like a fool and extremely childish. I have learned to tune out the words and focus on the actions. Can’t do anything about it. It is who he is. He in many ways is his own worst enemy.

Ali Larijani:

Ali Ardashir Larijani is a long-time Iranian political heavyweight with a career spanning military, legislative and security roles. He has many achievements under his belt. Larijani was one of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' original members. He was Iran's principal nuclear negotiator and the former chairman of Iran's State Broadcast Network (IRIB).

In July 2025, Larijani met with Putin for security discussions. Larijani is considered to be close to Putin and was the mastermind behind the 25-year strategic agreement with China as well.

Larijani was responsible for putting an end to the recent demonstrations calling for the abolition of Islamic rule by using deadly force. He was managing nuclear talks with Washington before the US and Israel attacked Iran on Saturday.

This doesn't sound like regime change. This guy is the ayatollah's chosen successor and it sounds like he was calling the shots already anyway

CNN has similar footage of cheers going up in Tehran.

I don't believe this. It's not as if the government was toppled. The guy in charge was the guy who authorized the huge crackdown a couple of weeks ago. These partiers would be putting themselves at grave risk. I mean, maybe, but I would like to get a lot more confirmation. Perhaps there are areas of Tehran where people could do this sort of thing, but call me skeptical.

Yeah, remember all of those Venezuelans who were celebrating in the streets after we captured Maduro? How has that worked out? They still have basically the same government and after we captured him the Trump administration told most of the Venezuelans living here that they needed to go home, or else. I don't see much celebrating now, and the new Venezuelan government isn't much friendlier to us than the previous regime. Trumpers have the collective memory span of a fly.

Even if this administration had any shred of credibility, I'd still have trouble believing this anonymous senior official.
People (including Israelis) have been claiming that Iran was "on the verge" of gaining nuclear missiles or attacking someone for the past 15 to 20 years, and yet they've never done so unless they were attacked themselves, usually by Israel. I wouldn't believe anything coming out of this administration, as they lie as easily as they breathe.

Nah, my feelings on trump have zero influence on the world.

Didn't realize you were an expert on iran's nuclear capability and enrichment activities. Need to see some credentials before that comment can be believed.

History tells us that isn't the case.

Even beyond a terrorist attack on US soil, I'm also concerned about the fact that Iran is weak and its leadership clearly feels threatened. They have what is essentially an entire country full of civilian hostages. Who knows what they might decide to do with them if things get ugly and regime change is on the horizon.

Damn. It’s almost like you should have considered things like this before casting your vote for Trump.
