No surprise at all. As has been frequently pointed out here, Trump has lived in his own little world and reality for most of his life, one in which he can never be wrong, never make a mistake, is always right about everything, and he's always a winner in every single situation. And he deliberately surrounds himself with sycophants and toadies whose real job is to constantly feed his enormous ego and narcissism and to keep him isolated from reality.

I’m so sick of reporting and op-ed’s that express surprise by anyone (writer, gov’t official, Trump staffer) by Trump’s actions, words or “plans.”

For all of those in the back of the room, there is no plan. Period. Full stop. For anything. Ever!!!

Even good podcasters like The Bulwark and Raging Moderates continue to say cap like that article.

Please stop talking like there was ever a plan.

I know a couple "Independents" who make these kinds of absurd arguments always laying blame at the feet of Democrats.

On a related note, did you know that Trump getting elected a second time is actually the Democrats' fault?
Screw all of these people like Coulter and MTG and others who are now - long after it's too late - more or less admitting that Trump is a fraud and a dangerous nutcase and not a Christian in any way. They knew all along and still vocally and enthusiastically supported him. MTG pretended to fellate a cardboard cutout of Trump not so long ago. Now that they're finally scared that he's going to wreck our economy and blow up the world and they're turning against him doesn't let them off the hook.

Oh, yeah, I heard that a lot after his 2016 election. All of these poor MAGAs had no choice but to vote for Trump because the Democrats dared to nominate Hillary Clinton. If only the Democrats had nominated an older white male who was Republican Lite then maybe, just maybe, they would have considered voting Democratic. And yet in 2020 when an old white guy was nominated by the Democrats, 11 million more voters voted for Trump than in 2016. And in 2024 he got more votes than he did in 2020. These people love the guy, plain and simple, and were never going to vote Democratic. And yet their excuse for the rest of their life will be that they "had to vote for Trump" because the Democrats dared to nominate a Democrat for POTUS, so somehow it's all their fault and not the fault of his incredibly gullible idiot (and adoring) MAGA base.

Graham is a perfect example of Dems not knowing how to play the game as it exists in 2026. Pubs would have already had had their PACS pay off a dozen high end DC male escorts to get video of them fucking Graham and doing the most lewd things possible. If the parties were reversed, Graham would be a xxx porn joke and already resigned from Congress and likely driven to suicide.

And you know what...I would 100% fine with that. If I had the cash, I would do it myself.
