Just chiming in to express my dismay, but not surprise, that, as the US marauds the world wreaking massive violence and havoc, undertaking regime change assault and kidnapping, killing hundreds if not thousands of civilians and destroying life-sustaining civil infrastructure, America's politicians, pundits and public discuss the price of gas and stock market fluctuations. Trump didn’t start the ascent to pure transactionalism, but he is its apotheosis.
