Reposting this so it doesn’t get lost in the shuffle — pretty shocking threat to allies here, even by Trump standards, especially when made while Israel was busy bombing Iranian oil production infrastructure in the Strait of Hormuz:

Also, it is a so-called “Strait” not “Straight”. Hard to know whether he is being facetious or stupid.

Meanwhile, Israel gets oil and natural gas (outside a decent chunk of domestic nat gas) from Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan (pipeline thru Turkey), and Egypt and Africa. So their energy needs aren't based on supply from greater ME and strait of Hormuz. And they've got an amazing defense shield. It seems they can assassinate at will throughout much of the MEast without much hometown impact on energy.
