Well, there is plenty of waste and fraud, but that's not the specific problem here.

Imagine a country under threat from a small cohort of werewolves or other undead. To protect themselves they started manufacturing bullets out of pure silver. After a while, they started making all their bullets out of silver, because it was easier and simpler that way. And silver bullets are just as good as lead bullets against humans, and better against undead, so you know, it makes sense.

And then suddenly a 100,000 strong army of barbarians shows up on the border. The barbarians don't have much in the way of armor or weapons, but they still need to be shot. With the silver bullets because there are no others. It gets expensive very quickly

I'm a little interested in the tactics, more so in the strategy and really interested in the logistics. How are we going to keep them supplied? Khe Sanh suggests that by air has some issues.

some sort of dirty bomb suicide vest? or a bio weapon suicide vest?

the internet tells me that the smallest nuclear weapon that the US has is @ 18in x 12in and approximately 60lbs, the rest are way larger.

i doubt other countries have some sort of tiny nuclear weapon that we don't have....
