I'm with you.

My company has had layoffs the past three years.

I don't expect one this year.

It is as you have stated. We all had to pick up the jobs of those who were let go.

I've never been busier at work. I don't feel that I am keeping up or ever going to catch up.

At this point, I just hope I can hold out for 3 more years then get a package.

I was included in discussions of things to cut today so I'm feeling better .. Unless they are absolute dicks and involving me in my own demise.

I'm grateful we've lived below our means so I will be ok. But it reinforces that I want to retire in 11 years. Absolutely F working in corporate America into my 60s (if we all haven't lost our jobs to AI by then anyhow)
