Yesterday, NPR ran a program focusing on the starvation of babies and children in Gaza.
Damn, that story was heartbreaking AND annoying. Instead of a factual story, NPR let the screaming, whining cries from infants dominate the story. No one, NO ONE, wants to listen to babies cry! I don’t want to hear screaming babies while running errands.
So what if it’s an 18 month-old toddler who weighs 7 pounds…..whose vertebrae look like they’ll cut through his skin…….so what if his Mom is so skinny she can’t produce breast milk.
I don’t want to hear screaming and crying kids during news reports. That’s just unacceptable….to broadcast little children and babies screaming.
We need neutral, pleasant news.
