Awdah Hathaleen, a Palestinian activist and journalist who helped make the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land, has been killed during an attack by Israeli settlers in the south Hebron hills.

The attack on Monday was captured on video, which appears to show an Israeli settler, Yinon Levi, who was put under sanctions by the US president, Joe Biden, then removed from the sanctions list by Donald Trump, firing his gun wildly at the time of the killing.


He was arrested later by Israeli police for questioning, though no charges have been filed against him.

I think with the current situation, and horrible optics for IDF, American contractors, Israel, Bibi...there will be a "three state" solution with Israel, Palestine, and Jordan. An Arab coalition heading the transition and on training wheels for at least a decade.

PM Starmer said the UK will now recognize Palestine.

There are no more viable military objectives.

I would not be surprised during the transition and rebuilding to see temporary encampments SE of Rafah in Egyptian territory and along the coast. It's going to cost the US, UN, Israel, Egypt, Saudis, Jordan significant capital, but better than buying missiles and mortars for IDF.

Yes, buildings are destroyed in war. Civilians, including women and children, die in war.

Hamas had to know that terror attack after terror attack after terror attack would eventually cause this kind of response from Israel. Do you really think they care about buildings when they don't care about their own people? I don't.
 
British PM says GB will recognize an indie Pelestinian state in Sept unless Israel does three things:
`) fixes the appaling situation in Gaza
2) forsears any plans to annex the West Bank
3) engages in comprehensive peach negotiations with the Palestinana toward the creation of an indie Pal State and the the two-state solution

Hamas is not the motherfucking point.

The point is that Israel...not Hamas...is currently carrying out a genocide in real time. Apparently you are willing to accept that but just fucking own it and stop pretending that Israel is fighting a war. They are not. They are slaughtering people and intentionally punishing them without any concern at all for the rules of war, engagement, or decency.

Remember when Israel shot a missile through the window of an Iranian general’s apartment from thousands of miles away? But somehow they have to level entire cities in Palestine.

The only questionable thing they've done is in regard to denying food/aid.

Genocide has a definition and Israel's actions have not met that definition. Not even close. Considering the circumstances, Israel has killed far fewer civilians than should be expected.

ah yes, you are still under the assumption that all of Gaza has Hamas tunnels under it. We need to study the architecture that Hamas built because it's amazing they are capable of putting tunnels under every building in Gaza without Israel knowing.

Hamas has (had) an extensive tunnel network all through Gaza that was no secret. Before the war it was even known as the Gaza subway. The difference between the Iranian military and Hamas is that the Iranians don’t hide under their civilians or use them as bait.

You ever ridden a subway, idiot? Subways, like train tracks, run between identifiable locations. The vast majority of Manhattan, for instance, does not sit on top of subway tracks.
