Israel launches attack on Iran | US bombs Iran nuke sites

A third rate cable tv drama is a legitimate source for historical economic analysis?

That brings a lot of your opinions into sharp focus.
Not 3rd rate
Your sarcasm meter is broken
Oil is the single most critical resource to our economy. Not even close.

I’d be curious to know Iran’s thought process on their counter attacks. Their aerial assault seems like just a big waste of money.

It is a good question. It's all they got I guess...We shall see
It’s not all they got. We shall see all right. We shall see in NYC. London. Paris. Their followers and sympathizers will hold everyone in the West accountable and they’ll strike in any ways they can.

I’m afraid you may be correct. If history tells us anything, sometime in the future we may see car bombs at roadside cafe’s, subway bombings, airplanes going down… all kinds of calamity happening in those same cities you’ve cited (and other cities). These things may not happen straight away and they could be well over a year or two from now. And if/when they happen, everybody will be like: WTF? Why now? Why here? Who did this? What was that for? Damn “towel heads!” We’ll get you for this!

This might be it for Iran. They are making threats against US bases. If they act, Trump will have no choice but to finish them.

I bet they don’t see the irony of this post.

Just to reiterate, targeting of any civilian of any side is wrong and should be condemned

"targeting of any civilian of any side is wrong and should be condemned"

Agree. Civilian collateral damage isn't the same as targeting them, however.

Israel's target is enemy combatants and terrorist leaders. While targeting members of those two groups, civilians are inadvertently killed....as is common in war and is exacerbated by the fact that Hamas wants civilians to be killed.

How difficult it must be to bend and twist the way you do to distort the facts. You must be very limber.

When you attack any location with a civilian populace, you are targeting civilians. Period.

So you're saying the term "collateral damage" doesn't exist? Anything destroyed or anyone killed was "targeted"?

Israel is blatantly targeting civilians. Just because the total number killed is still under your acceptable level, doesn’t mean they aren’t targeting them. Also, starving an entire population is included in the definition of targeting civilians.

Again - being in a war and everyone setting the bar at “target just a small group but also feed the entire population around them” is insanity.
