Israel launches attack on Iran | US bombs Iran nuke sites

Reminder that there was a major meeting of the Trump foreign policy advisors and several top Generals and Admirals at Camp David this past weekend. As far as anyone knows, it was the first such gathering this term. [DNI Tulsi Gabbard was strangely not included]
Trump also diverted anti-drone defenses from Ukraine to the Middle East. Might not be related, but could have been a move in anticipation of Iranian retaliation.

Regardless of how you feel about the war in Gaza, Israel is doing the world a favor tonight. A nuclear-armed Iran would be a catastrophe.
It's not crude, lazy, and generally ineffective like the Gaza campaign. That suggests the Mosssad kept Bibi out of the loop. Mossad has conducted a surgical air and ground coordinated blow. More sophisticated than the 1981 air strikes on Iran's nearly finished nuclear reactor.

Of course this would be probably unnecessary if Trump had enforce Obama's nuclear accord.

Just in time for Tank Day in DC! smh

When Trump sent this message at 5:09 pm ET tonight, was he sincere? Was he giving a pretense of cover that Israel wasn’t going to attack knowing they were?

If you take his word here, Trump genuinely did not support this Israeli attack.

Without comment on the morality of it all
It is amazing to me how many wars Israel can fight at once
Population is smaller than NC

Rubio does not say whether U.S. supports or will protect Israel.

The current White House occupier is a horrible human being, a horrible human president, and our nation would be better if he were to be removed tonight from office.

But I'm going to give him and Rubio credit IN THIS INSTANCE. Because they're making it clear this was Israel acting on their own. They knew it was coming--that's why they removed non-essentials from Iraq today. Iran has said that anytime Israel attacks them, they'll blame us. And Rubio and the administration know this. So they're trying their best to distance us from this.
