Israel launches attack on Iran | US bombs Iran nuke sites

I fully expect a terrorist attack- from Iran down the road in the form of cyber attacks. In the short run Iran will not start a fight with a real attack (killing people). But Irans enemies may strike the US soon knowing Trump is stupid enough and our intelligence is so weakened by the fools in charge that he/they will blame Iran. Sunni terrorist (eg ISIS) hate both the US and Iran so why not start WW3 by pulling US into direct conflict with Iran. Bad things for the US will come from this down the road.

You don’t give the intelligence community much credit. If you really believe they are as stupid as you describe, they should all be disbanded.

I think the most disappointing part of this, to me, is that the president who fancies himself as the world’s greatest negotiator was unable to successfully negotiate with a weakened Iran. Theoretically the direct use of the United States military to preemptively attack another sovereign nation could be considered a negotiation failure. Trump and Bibi dismantled the Obama deal with Iran with the expectation that they could get a “better” one. The moment that Iran or an Iranian proxy sheds a drop of U.S. blood in retaliation for the strike means that Trump and Bibi failed in the most significant way possible- and violated both U.S. domestic and international law to do it. Disappointing.

I’m not reflexively against Trump eliminating Iran’s ability to make nuclear war. I’m reflexively against preemptively bombing other sovereign countries unless there is absolutely, positively no other alternative. I’m not cheering for Trump to be unsuccessful- and if this whole thing ends right now with Iran’s nuclear capabilities permanently crippled, and their theocratic government permanently weakened, then I will gladly shower him with effusive praise.

Are you for not voting for him? Can you imagine if kamala or Brandon had been in office? This would have NEVER happened. Trump just made the world far safer and seemingly with the silent approval of china, Russia, and the rest of the ME.

Wait a second you assholes were the ones calling Kamala a fucking warmonger and guaranteed this would happen. Until your guy did it now you’re all for it?

I hate the Iranian regime and think they should be eradicated yesterday but why would the U.S. itself strike Iran? Why not just give Israel the munitions to do so and allow them to do it? Is that just a distinction without a difference? While we would certainly benefit from a non-nuclear Iran, this isn’t our fight so why make it one and invite Iranian retaliation and further escalation? I thought MAGAts were voting for the “prince of peace” president who wouldn’t get us into foreign wars like warmonger Genocide Joe? What gives, MAGAts?
The cheeto wants credit.

Bad day to be U.S. troops stationed in the ME. Sending prayers up for their safety.
Hopefully you educate yourself more on this issue than what you have shown in the last few pages. The US troops in the ME are always in danger. This will likely bring an end to the Israel and Iran war sooner and it makes the world safer. Iran was completely isolated. Russia and china wanted nothing to do with them, their proxies have been neutered, and their stockpile of ballistic misses has been greatly reduced. I’m sure they will try something but their options have been greatly diminished. Can’t live in fear of an attack on our basses when the possibility of ending their nuke program is on the table. This is why trump won. Not afraid and decisive. The exact opposite of the last 4 years.

Iran isn’t going to do shit to us. They are all talk, no action. I hate war but this was the best time to strike them…they are weaker now than they ever have been.

The US again showing that it’s Israel’s bitch. They just put a lot of lives in danger they didn’t need to be. This is as much about nuclear weapons as Gaza is about hostages
Israel took the peaceful solution of the table and dragged us in it. Before the idiots come out, this isn’t defending Iran’s regime, but instead about putting US lives in unnecessary danger.

That’s what I’m trying to do, educate myself and learn by asking questions. I definitely don’t have all of the answers, or any of the answers. I’ve tried to acknowledge in several posts that Trump may well be correct in this strike, and I’ve tried to imply that I am sure that our military and intelligence communities know far more than I do and had particular information that led us to decide that now was the time to forcefully attack.

I think it’s totally valid to question the wisdom of what we’ve just done, though. That’s not to say that I inherently or reflexively think that we are wrong. I don’t know if we are wrong. I don’t know if we are right. I’m just afraid right now that we’ve kicked the hornets nest. I don’t mean to say that I’m afraid that Iran could “defeat” us in a war or anything like that, I just mean that I’m afraid that further escalation will lead to catastrophic consequences for our troops or citizens abroad.

I’ve said it and I fully believe it, if this whole thing ends with Iran’s nuclear capability eliminated and their regime crippled, I’ll shower Trump with praise. I don’t like the guy personally, obviously, but he’s my president and I certainly wish for his success and that of our country.
