If we don't have a standalone housing policy thread, we should. The most interesting idea I've seen recently -- subsidized bridge loans. I don't know how else we get past the ~5 years when everyone, and especially those with means, locked in mortgages on very expensive houses at 2.5-3.5%.Once upon a time we went to the moon not because it was easy but because it was hard. Now we can't build houses?
Absolutely right -- we need to get past the pushback. Laws can be changed.
