“… "Agents were sent into a crowd control mission after the riot was declared by Metro Police – something that goes against FBI standards," Patel told Fox News Digital. "This was the failure of a corrupt leadership that lied to Congress and to the American people about what really happened."

He added, "Thanks to agents coming forward, we are now uncovering the truth. We are fully committed to transparency, and justice and accountability continues with this FBI."

There’s no indication any FBI agents were involved in any events related to Trump’s speech on the morning of Jan. 6 at the Ellipse, an FBI official told Fox News Digital, adding that Wray should have disclosed that agents were there when he was asked by congressional leaders….

… Wray told a House Committee on Nov. 15, 2023, "If you are asking if the violence at the Capitol was part of some operation orchestrated by FBI sources or agents, the answer is no," but he wouldn’t disclose if any agents or sources were embedded within the crowd.

The 274 agents also includes those who were responding to the pipe bombs placed near the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee headquarters the night before Jan. 6, according to Politico.…”

Patel also “clarifies” earlier claims that Wray lied with Wray gave a “D.C. answer”

FBI analyzed phone records of senators as part of Trump Jan. 6 probe, lawmakers say

“ The FBI in 2023 analyzed phone records of more than a half dozen Republican lawmakers as part of an investigation into efforts by President Donald Trump to overturn the results of the 2020 election, according to information released Monday by GOP senators.

The records enabled investigators to see basic information about the date and time of the calls but not the content of the communications, the senators said. The data encompassed several days during the week of Jan. 6, 2021, when pro-Trump rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol in a failed bid to halt the certification of the election results.…”

Reminder - Grassley didn’t expect Pence to preside over the Senate on Jan 6.

“Well, first of all, I will be — if the Vice President isn’t there and we don’t expect him to be there, I will be presiding over the Senate,” according to a transcript of his remarks sent by a spokesperson.

[His phones were not tapped. As Smith disclosed, he sought call records metadata that only indicated times and numbers of calls between phones during a narrow window around J6]

Trump’s push to rewrite the history of January 6 takes an especially brazen turn

“… To recap: Taranto was among those pardoned by Trump for his actions on January 6. But before that pardon, he committed an unrelated crime. In 2023, he was arrested in former President Barack Obama’s Washington, DC, neighborhood with numerous firearms and materials to make explosives. He was convicted in May.

… By late Tuesday, a reporter at Politico noted something interesting: Prosecutors in their sentencing memo for Taranto noted his presence in the “mob of rioters” on January 6.

Sure enough, mere hours later the prosecutors on the case – Carlos Valdivia and Samuel White – were placed on leave. Then their sentencing memo was pulled from the docket and replaced with a new one, signed by different prosecutors, that excised the paragraph on January 6.

And just in case it wasn’t clear that the changes were made to benefit Trump, consider another change to the sentencing memo….”

At this point I just want to live long enough to see these people brought to justice.

“… The other interesting aspect of Taranto’s crime is Trump’s proximity to it. In fact, Taranto was apprehended near Obama’s home shortly after Trump reshared a post that included an alleged address for the former president to social media. Prosecutors said Taranto began livestreaming in the area shortly after promoting Trump’s post.

The new sentencing memo also removed a reference to that fact
