Jane's Addiction fight!

This was a nice touch from the article:

"Farrell in turn throws to (sic) elbow jabs at the guitarist when multiple crew and bandmates, including bassist Eric Avery, run up and restrain the “Been Caught Stealing” singer telling him to “stop.”"

I grew up in the 90s and almost universally love all grunge/alternative from that era.

But I don’t like any of their stuff. I don’t know how to explain it, it just sucks to me.
They were sort of pre-grunge. Ritual de lo Habitual came out in mid-1990 before the term “grunge” to refer to a sub-genre of music was really known. I’m not even sure “alternative” was yet a word used to describe certain music. I don’t think the folks who liked to pigeonhole musical styles at the time really knew how to classify them. They were kind of hard, but they weren’t metal (but they still sort of got pushed on metalheads). They had punk rock influence, but their songs didn’t have typical punk rock structures and the guitar playing was more sophisticated than what you’d typically hear in traditional punk rock. Their sound wasn’t dissonant enough to be what some referred to at the time as noise rock a la Sonic Youth. And I don’t think they were darlings of college radio while they existed so weren’t categorized under sub-genre known at the time as “college rock.”

Had no idea Avery was back playing with the band. Sounds like he was reminded of why he left the first time.
Stephen Perkins is in my opinion a fantastic drummer.
UNCatTech - PFP is for Farrell’s other band, Porno for Pyros.
