Yep, just pure stupid on the part of both of them. My guess is that like so many such people (CEOs) he's arrogant and didn't think he'd get caught, but it never occurred to him that a cameraman might have some fun by putting him and his mistress up on the big screen. What made it better was that bandleader Chris Martin actually pointed it out and joked about it. Here's a hint: if you're a CEO of a billion-dollar business or a celebrity and you don't want people to know you're having an extramarital affair, don't take your side piece to a crowded, highly public concert with thousands of people with cellphone cameras and the possibility of being shown on a big screen displaying obviously romantic behavior. And if you are shown on a big screen, don't suddenly let go of her and back away like she's burst into flames. And she didn't help by looking embarrassed and turning in the opposite direction (too late, lady, your face was shown). And he should have know that would immediately go viral. For a tech CEO that was a pretty dumb thing to do, imo - and yes, I'd never heard of him until now, but as you said, even if they hadn't been caught on the screen there was always the chance that someone who knew him might be there with a cellphone camera and would put it on TikTok or some such.
